A name rooted in parish history
The name Les Buttes refers to a strip of land used for target practice. Butts originated in the medieval period as places for archery and were later used for shooting practice by parish militia. In St Pierre du Bois, the butts lay to the east of the parish church; the name survives in Les Buttes today.

The farmhouse takes shape
The main house is thought to date from around 1625–1700 and forms part of the historic group at Les Raies, to the south-east of St Peter's Church. The group also includes two outbuildings that pre-date 1787.

Restoration and a new chapter
Martin Ozanne began the renovation of Les Buttes in the early 1980s, restoring the old farm buildings and beginning their transformation into the family home and self-catering cottages. The Ozanne family began welcoming holiday guests in 1981, starting a tradition that has continued for more than four decades.

Characterful cottages, a personal welcome
Geranium and Honeysuckle now offer comfortable self-catering accommodation with their own character and private outdoor space. Les Buttes remains family run, with the next generation continuing the welcome begun in 1981.
